In Quinkan traditional country, some people think there is a painting of a Diprotodon, a giant wombat-like creature with large front teeth. It was the largest marsupial to have ever existed. Scientists know that people lived side by side with this animal, because a Diprotodon bone has been found in the Warratyi rock shelter, South Australia. However, we do not know for sure if people hunted it.
